When Jessica Swift posted on instagram that she was looking for some folks who'd like to sew with her new fabric line I felt super excited about this opportunity (just need to try this, I said to myself).

Guess what?! I did it! Few days after, I got the package in the mail and inside there were the amazing fabrics. Go check the whole collection following this link: Sirena for Art Gallery Fabrics.

It has been really hard to choose the prints to sew with, because the whole collection is gorgeous. Finally I decided to choose 3 of her prints to sew my "2 in 1 summer bag" (sewing pattern coming really soon!)

Whether you’re a beginning sewist or you’ve been sewing for decades, you can join the sewing challenge too. Check her blog post to know more about how you can join the fun!

And here are the final pictures of the backpack. It is going to be my favourite bag for summer. It's gorgeous and super practical, especially with a 4yo toddler

I choose the Wavelenght Reef print for the front of the bag and the Ocean Floret Storm  for the back and also the straps. For the lining I choose a contrast fabric, like Kelp storm and mist in black and white. I added two hang loops to use the backpack as a totebag too, that's why I called the "2 in 1 summer bag"

I'm happy to share that I'll launching my very first sewing patterns and tutorials soon (a group of talented ladies are helping me to test them and I couldn't be happier!)

I love the lining fabric ;)
